Stock Report 2021
FROM THE DEPARTMENT HEAD
The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines grit as “courage and resolve, strength of character.” During the past 18 months I have seen students, faculty, and staff rise up and demonstrate true grit in the face of many challenges. I am so proud of their accomplishments. I am struggling with saying goodbye to this class of graduating students, as the bond we have forged feels unique, a bond of adversity conquered. And somehow, it feels as if we are not quite done with what we started, as if the final chapter of the story hasn’t been finished. But off they go, capable and eager, smart and ambitious. They have much to be proud of, and we are very proud of them.
I hope you enjoy reading a bit about what’s happening here in the Animal Science Department. We look forward to a more “in-person” world soon, and hopefully a visit from you all!
Warmest Regards,
Dr. Jaymie Noland
