Hank has been in the dairy industry his entire life. Growing up on a small farm in southern Idaho, Hank learned from an early age that happy cows, happy people, make a happy farm. He took that mindset and applied it to a degree in Dairy Science and minor in Ag-business at Cal Poly, graduating in 2019. Managing his family farm in Idaho he helped grow the herd to 1200 head. He is proud of his accomplishments there maximizing beef on dairy revenue streams, improving genetics for production and animal longevity, along with implementing technology to improve cattle management, welfare, and employee retention.
He is excited about the opportunity Cal Poly has given him to work with the great cows and people at the Cal Poly Dairy Unit and looks forward to helping teach the leaders of tomorrow’s dairy industry.
He enjoys mountain biking, surfing, motor cycling, and spending time outdoors with loved ones.
