The Cal Poly Animal Science Department maintains a campus veterinary clinic for teaching and to address the veterinary needs of all of the animal units on campus. The two campus veterinarians respond to the needs of the beef, dairy, equine, poultry, sheep and swine units. Students have the opportunity to participate in any of these calls. The veterinary clinic also houses a teaching laboratory where most veterinary courses are held, a pharmacy, in-house laboratory, large and small animal surgery facilities and an imaging center.
