The Cal Poly Poultry Unit has housing facilities for 7,000 broilers and 7,000 replacement pullets. In addition to these facilities the Poultry Unit maintains two egg production facilities. One is a two story Turbo house and the second is a stack-deck house. These two houses are exact replicas of the facilities currently in use by the commercial egg production industry.
