The
Cal Poly Animal Science Department is currently constructing a
new, state-of-the-art animal nutrition center, which will be
located directly adjacent to the poultry center. The new animal
nutrition center will allow for such technologies as creating
double ground diets for uniform particle size; portion control
to allow for small batch sizes; and a conditioning system for
elevating heat, steam and pressure on feed additives such as
enzymes. When completed, the new animal nutrition center will be as advanced
as the feed industry that students will soon enter.
